Just when Diddy told us the whole Chris Rock-Will Smith dustup was taken care of and had died down between the duo, Jake Paul is stepping in to try to escalate things in a major way.

And to Paul’s credit, at least on the business side, what he is trying to do would probably make money in 2022. Because, the YouTube influencer who has turned into a boxing moneymaker is offering Smith and Rock $15 million each to step into a boxing ring and slug it out.

Now, if you’ve reached this point in the story and you are wondering why Smith and Rock might possibly be Paul’s target for a boxing match … welcome back to the internet. Because the Smith-Rock altercation has been trending strong on all the social platforms and media sites since Sunday’s Oscars.

It was then that Rock directed a joke at Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, saying that he couldn’t wait to see her in “G.I. Jane 2.” Pinkett Smith was sporting a bald head to the event and has been open for years about having alopecia which causes hair loss.

That’s when Smith left his seat, walked up on stage, and slapped the heck out of Rock who responded by saying, “Oh, wow! Wow! Will Smith just smacked the (crap) out of me.”

Smith, who had returned to his seat, screamed “Keep my wife’s name out of your (freaking) mouth!”

“Wow dude, it was a ‘G.I. Jane’ joke,” Rock responded.

Smith again yelled, “Keep my wife’s name out of your (freaking) mouth!”

“I’m going to, OK,” Rock responded.

The altercation, complete with Smith’s expletives, was aired uncensored in Australia. Beware, the video contains foul language, but it can be viewed, here.

Paul tweeted his offer late Sunday night and said he would like to get it done in August on pay-per-view.

That is probably not ever going to happen, but if so, Smith is younger and bigger. You would have to think he would be the favorite.

But again … there’s no way Jake Paul gets it done.

Right?

Anyway, shortly after Sunday’s incident, Smith won the Oscar for best actor for his performance in “King Richard,” in which he played Richard Williams, the father of tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams. He came up on stage and gave a tearful acceptance speech. He talked about having to take “disrespect” in his business and having to smile through it.

“Art imitates life,” he said. “Tonight, I look like the crazy father, but love will make you do crazy things.”
