MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – It appears the Miami Dolphins have made their decision about Christian Wilkins.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is reporting that the Dolphins will not place the franchise tag on Wilkins.

That means that the defensive lineman will become a free agent.

Wilkins, 28, had 38 tackles and 9 sacks last season.

Wilkins will command a huge contract extension.

He is considered one of the best free agents on the market.

Of course, the Dolphins could re-sign Wilkins, but will now face competition from the rest of the NFL.
